Welcome!

Hello! My name is Carrie, and I believe that stories, in addition to being forms of entertainment, are instructions for living, and the more inclusive and informed they are, the better.

I’m specifically concerned with stories about women and how their agency, sexuality, and power are represented. I believe it’s not only important for young girls to see strong women on screen, but for boys to see good men there as well. I want male characters who support women, value them, and treat them as equals. My hope is to create more realistic and representative characters that will speak to audiences and spark important conversations.

My particular passion is for screenwriting, but I hope that the insight and advice I share on this site will be helpful to writers in any genre and interesting to everyone who cares for stories as much as I do

Here, you can find samples of my work to see the types of stories I want to tell, you can look at my blog to learn more about my thoughts on writing, and you're always welcome to contact me if you have any other questions.

        Thanks for stopping by!

Last night, I fell. Down. And hard. And not on all fours, but fives. Split my chin right open out there in the middle of the street. I wish I could blame the stones slippery from rain or the loose strap on my shoe. . .

The Fall

This short story is written in the second person and explores the moments leading to a person's decision to make a deal with the devil. I was inspired to write it after finishing The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue.
